Ceramic designer David Edmonds produces an original range of quality tableware for everyday use. Proven in the Australian market, simple functional strong the series comprises pieces intended to be enjoyed through everyday living, dining and entertaining. All pieces are designed and handmade to order in David's Sydney studio for the wholesale gift and restaurant markets. David has developed over a number of years a unique silk surface combining durability and colour saturation - work sought after both locally and internationally.

With a background in sculpture and design, David has worked in the Sculpture and Design Departments at the College of Fine Art (UNSW), in the Object Design and Ceramics Departments at Sydney College of the Arts (University of Sydney), and has taught at numerous institutions. He has worked on a broad range of projects for individual, government and commercial clients; and has participated in several solo and group exhibitions. Sought after by stylists, David's work has been published in esteemed publications including Marie Claire, Better Homes and Gardens, Vogue, Vogue Entertaining, Donna Hay, House and Garden, Notebook and Gourmet Traveller.

David produces a signature range of one-off and limited edition collectible exhibition pieces which inform his wholesale range with a unique point of difference. The inspiration for David's wholesale range comes from a love of food. The work not only acts as a canvas on which cuisine is presented, to complete the total sensory experience of enjoying a meal, but works also as a sculptural object. Being visually trained, inspiration comes from any and everything. A continuous process of thought and making and eating - very hands on - literally drawing in the clay. The colours are all food safe and are designed to complement and enhance the pleasure of food.
